Job Description

Application Engineer will apply basic theories and principles of electronic engineering to validate new power management high voltage DC-DC and LED driver products on lab bench.  The candidate will create detailed validation test reports as well as provide technical expertise through documentation, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.  The candidate will need to create schematics, bills of materials, and also create PCB layouts for evaluation boards.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create schematics, BOM, and PCB layouts for new/existing DC-DC LED Driver products.

  • Work with Microchip vendors for manufacturing and assembling evaluation boards.

  • Develop test plans and validate high voltage DC-DC LED driver power management products on lab bench to verify new/existing products functioning according to specifications.

  • Create evaluation test report and help creating other technical documentation  for new/existing products.

  • Develop mathematical analysis models for new power management products.

  • Develop technical documentation and application notes to release new power management products to market.

  • Provide technical support to Microchip customers to design in power management products in end applications.

Job Requirements

Bachelor Degree in electrical/electronic engineering is a must for this position.  

Master degree is a plus.  

New graduate to 2 years experience is preferred.
