NCG CAD Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for a new college graduate to begin a career in System-on-Chip (SoC) Design implementation. The CAD team at Microchip offers support for tools and flows used in company product development and provides innovative solutions for the design community. He or she will participate as a part of a team in various aspects of Chip Implementation flows including synthesis, static timing analysis, report generation, power/performance/area analysis, flow development, documentation and training. The focus of this position is support/enhancement of Design Implementation flows to support RTL/Synthesis/STA methodology using state of the art VLSI CAD tools.
Job Requirements: BSEE required with course emphasis on microelectronics or equivalent experience. MSEE preferred. Must have graduated within the last two years. Course work or experience in hardware (SoC) Design techniques and processes (RTL implementation, synthesis, timing analysis) -experience programming/scripting in language(s) such as TCL, C/C++, Java, Perl, Python, etc. -Experience in a Unix/Linux compute environment -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Strong desire to learn and expand your skillset Preferred: -Knowledge of DFT techniques -Low Power design concepts.
