NCG CAD Physical Verification Engineer

The CAD group at Microchip supports multiple internal and external foundry nodes and provides innovative solutions for the design community.
The candidate will:
Support Layout and Design engineers with layout verification activities using tools such as Mentor Graphics Calibre and Synopsys Hercules. Will focus on quality improvements to the verification flow.
Work with Technology Development and Design engineers to develop layout design rule checking runsets.
Develop rule decks for DRC, LVS of Deep Submicron designs using Mentor Graphics and Synopsys tools
Verify and enhance foundry rule decks
Improve quality of runsets (reviews, regression suites, etc).
Support debug of physical verification issues.
Bachelors degree or higher in computer science, electrical or computer engineering.
Develop, modify, enhance, test and maintain physical verification (DRC, LVS, Antenna, etc.) decks. Develop and deploy automation scripts.
Participate in implementation and improvements of design flows and methodology.
Quality Documentation and Training skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
