Job Description

Master Planner (Operations Product Planner) is the primary interface between Business Unit and the Tactical and Manufacturing Supply Chain Organization. The Master Planner has full ownership of the supply chain for his/her Business Unit and works strategically to ensure that the production needs of the Business Unit are met.  The expectation is to work with the Business and the Tactical Team to support Production demands. 

Key elements of the collaboration with Business Unit include: 

  • Creating shipment forecasts 
  • Reviewing/rationalizing specific customer forecasts 
  • Reviewing forecast vs. backlog differences and taking actions as needed 
  • Liaison to resolve supply issues/expedites
  • Managing "Focus" customer list and driving to quick resolution
  • Proactively taking steps to minimize OCD (Original Commit Date) delivery slips
  • Monitoring unsupported revenue orders and driving resolution
  • Recommending, setting and maintaining product build type settings
  • Working with the NPI Planner to prepare for new product Production launch
  • Analyzing impact of component supplies on backlog
  • Providing Global Sales Services (GSS) with lead time quotes
  • Monitoring lead time scheduling and quotation issues to determine root causes and drive solutions
  • Monitoring planning system exception reports and taking action to ensure on time delivery
  • EOL planning
  • Last time buy planning

Job Requirements

  • Business, Supply Chain or Economics
  • 3-5 years Planning, order fulfillment or related supply chain operational analyst job experience
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and requiring minimal guidance
  • Work well in multidisciplinary environment, interacting with various operations team members
  • Strong problem solving, process oriented & numeric analysis background
